Notice of class formats in the Spring Semester of the 2021 academic year

Based on the status of COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) infections, in a continuation from the Fall Semester of the 2020 academic year, it is planned to hold classes in the Spring Semester of the 2021 academic year in hybrid formats, mixing face-to-face classes on campus and online sessions.

While face-to-face classes for the Fall Semester of the 2020 academic year were held on a limited basis for some courses, in the Spring Semester of the 2021 academic year, courses with face-to-face classes will increase. This will mean that there will be an increase in opportunities for students to take face-to-face classes on campus.
Respective undergraduate faculties and graduate schools will announce the specific details of implementation (class formats) from March 11 via the keio.jp portal, so please ensure to confirm these details.
Additionally, semester-end examinations are in principle planned to be held on campus.

All measures necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will be taken when face-to-face classes are held. Allowances will also be made to ensure that students whose personal circumstances make it difficult for them to attend classes on campus are not placed at a disadvantage.

Changes may be made to the class formats depending on the ongoing situation regarding COVID-19 to prioritize the safety of all Keio students. If there are any changes, a separate announcement will be made at that time.
