Financial aid other than scholarships

Keio University Educational Loan System

This is a partnership system with five financial institutions. Under the system, academic fees and expenses such as tuition and admission costs can be borrowed from the partner financial institutions and used towards payments during the Admission Registration process.
*Note, however, that not all applicants may qualify following audits by the financial institutions.



Government Educational Loans (Japan Finance Corporation)

This is an official system to lend guardians the costs of academic fees and expenses, such as rent, etc. This can be availed of in conjunction with Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarships.




Living and Welfare Fund Educational Support Fund

These are systems whereby the funds needed to attend university are lent to persons from low-income households (municipal tax exemption system). They are administered through service desks at Social Welfare Councils in local municipalities.
