Precautions when coming on campus
Please check the "Preventing infection, When feeling unwell, In cases of infection or suspected infection" section on the Keio Student Website and take all the necessary precautions.
・Please check "Guidelines on Measures to Prevent Infections when Conducting Face-to-Face Classes at Mita Campus in the 2020 Fall Semester" posted on keio.jp on September 11.
・Entrance to and departure from campus will be via the Main Gate (enter or leave on foot), the East Gate (7:30 am - 8:30 pm, enter or leave on foot), the West Gate (7:30 am - 9:00 pm, enter or leave on foot or by bicycle/enter by vehicle), and the North Gate (leave on foot or by vehicle).
・When entering the campus, a body temperature check will be conducted, and persons with a fever of 37.5 degrees or higher will not be allowed to enter.
・It is also mandatory to wear a mask.
・Please return home immediately if you are feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of a cold, etc.

Precautions when coming on campus
Please confirm "Preventing infection, when feeling unwell, in cases of infection or suspected infection" on the Keio Student Website, while endeavoring to help prevent infections.
・ When entering the campus, a body temperature check will be conducted, and persons with a fever of 37.5 degrees or higher will not be allowed to enter. It is also mandatory to wear a mask.
・ Please refrain from entering the campus if you are feeling unwell or exhibiting symptoms of a cold, etc.
・ If you begin to feel unwell while on campus, please return home immediately.

Hiyoshi campus will be divided into different areas from September 28, for which separate entry checks will be conducted.
Area A: Third Building, Fourth Building (Section A, Section B, Independence Wing), Sixth Building, Media Center, Raiosha, Cafeteria Building, Student Union Building
Area B: Fujiyama Memorial Hall, Second Building, Seventh Building

Issuance of certificates

〇Issuance by certificate issuing machine
You can use the certificate issuing machines on all campuses without prior application. However, on some campuses, entry to campus is restricted.
For operating hours of the certificate issuing machines and restriction on entry to campus, please check the "Use of campus facilities".

  • From Monday, September 28, you can use the certificate issuing machines at Hiyoshi campus (Fourth Building: Section B) without prior application. (use of machines by students affiliated to other campuses permitted).(Updated: September 25)
  • From Monday, July 6, you can use the certificate issuing machines at Mita campus without prior application. (use of machines by students affiliated to other campuses permitted). (Updated: July 3)
  • From Monday, September 7, you can use the certificate issuing machines at SFC (Main Building) without prior application. (use of machines by students affiliated to other campuses permitted). (Updated: September 10)


To operate the Certificate Issuing Machines, students must have their Student ID card and 4-digit "Student ID Card PIN."
You can check the "Student ID Card PIN" from keio.jp portal. From the top menu, select "Various changes" (or the top right menu button on a smartphone), and then select "The password used for the Certificate Issuing Machines".
Certificates cannot be issued without a valid Student ID card. In case of loss, students must apply to have their Student ID card re-issued before they can use the Certificate Issuing Machines. Please check the "Re-Issuing Student ID Card, Enroll Confirmation Sticker" below.

Change Address/Guarantor

〇Application at the office
Please check the "Use of campus facilities" for the availability of the office on your campus. And please check the "Change Name/Address/Guarantor".

〇Application by online form
Please promptly carry out the required procedures if your address (or your guarantor's address) or guarantor has changed. (Updated: June 8)


1) Change to student address
After logging in to keio.jp, select "Various changes" (or the top right menu button on a smartphone), and then select "Confirmation/Change of Address".
If everything is satisfactory, the application will be approved in a few days and the information registered with the university will be updated.


2) Change to guarantor address
Please prepare for your guarantor's Certificate of Residence issued within last three months, and apply through the following form to change the guarantor address.


3) Change of guarantor
Please prepare for your new guarantor's Certificate of Residence issued within last three months, and apply through the following form to change students' guarantor.
Students' guarantor should be an adult who resides in Japan, is responsible for supporting their family financially, and he or she must be able to bear responsibility for the studentʼs academic fees and expenses and personal aff airs. If possible, please designate one of studentʼs parents. If it is not possible for the studentʼs parent to act as the guarantor, please designate a guardian, such as an older sibling, uncle, aunt, or equivalent.


4) Change to family name or given name
Please apply by mail. For more information, please refer to the above "Procedure for Re-Issuing a Student ID Card".

Information about preventing infection

Please practice "New Lifestyle" to prevent the spread of infectious diseases


(1)Basic infection prevention measures for each person
Three basics for preventing infection:「Keeping physical distance」「wearing a mask」「washing hands」

(2)Basic lifestyle for daily life
・Wash and sanitize hands frequently
・Make sure to observe coughing etiquette (by covering your mouth)
・Ventilate frequently
・Keep physical distance
・Avoid gatherings in crowded places, close contact settings and closed spaces
・Check your health condition and measure body temperature every morning
・Do not force yourself to go out, and stay home if you have symptoms of fever or cold

Traveling overseas

In accordance with the infection danger level that is set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, students are, in principle, prohibited from travelling to following countries and regions until the danger level is lowered from the current level of 2.

Upon re-entry / entry to Japan

Both Japanese and foreign nationals traveling from abroad must, in principle, follow the procedures below to return to/re-enter/enter Japan. You must all take care not to come to any of Keio University's campuses, student dormitories, etc., until the conclusion of the quarantine period.


  1. Undergo a PCR test within 72 hours of the departure time for the flight due to be boarded and obtain a "Test Certificate" verifying a negative test result
  2. Before departure, secure a place to stay for the duration of the quarantine period after entry to Japan
  3. Secure a means of transportation from the airport of arrival to the place where you will be staying for the duration of the quarantine period.
  4. Undergo a PCR test at the airport after arrival in Japan
  5. Stay at home, etc., for a period of 14 days starting from the day after arriving in Japan
  6. Undergo an interview for permission to return to campus at the Keio University Health Center
