Information on Keio's measures against the Pneumonia Associated with the 2019 Novel Coronavirus for students are as follows.

Response to infections

Having fever above 37.5 Celsius or Having symptoms of Pneumonia associated with 2019 Novel Coronavirus

●If you match the following description, please remain in self-isolation and report to Keio University Health Center.

  • Having fever above 37.5 Celsius, increasing sense of malaise, or breathing troubles

●If you meet any of the following criteria, please refrain from coming to university for 14 days after the date of entry, remain in self-isolation and report to Keio University Health Center.

  • Having contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) without adequate protection to prevent infection
  • Entering Japan from countries and regions ranked Level 3 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' infection danger level within past 2 weeks
  • Having contact with someone who entered Japan from countries and regions ranked Level 3 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' infection danger level within past 2 weeks

If you are diagnosed as being infected

Do not come to university until permitted by your doctor, and immediately report to Keio University Health Center.

Traveling overseas

In accordance with the infection danger level that is set by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, students are, in principle, prohibited from travelling to following countries and regions until the danger level is lowered from the current level of 2.

If you return or enter Japan within past 2 weeks

Please continue to observe your health by taking your temperature twice daily for a period of two weeks from the day you return to or enter Japan (applicable to all people returning to/entering Japan from overseas).

If you entered Japan from countries and regions ranked Level 2 in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' infection danger level, please quarantine yourself and avoid unnecessary outing for 2 weeks after the date of entry. Please continue to strictly monitor your health throughout this period, and wear a face mask when going out.

In case of entering Japan from countries and regions ranked Level 3 within past 2 weeks, or having had contact with people who have entered Japan from countries and regions ranked Level 3 within past 2 weeks, students are prohibited from going to school and must remain in quarantine for 2 weeks after the date of entry or contact. If you are planning to come to Japan via countries and regions ranked Level 2, including transit, make sure to act well in advance before the new semester in case of more immigration restriction. If you are planning to enter Japan from other countries and regions, prepare for change in situation and act in advance anyway.
