Class Management When Waseda-Keio Baseball Game(s) Extended Over the Weekend

The Waseda-Keio Baseball Games are held over the weekend in late May to early June in the spring semester, and late October to early November in the fall semester.

The games will continue until either side wins two games. If the game continues after the weekend due to rain or a tie result, the following rules will apply.

If the game continues after the weekend due to rain or a tie result, regarding the classes on and after 2nd period on the day of the baseball games, information will be posted on K-Support by 8:40 in the morning.


Classes for the Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies

a. Classes on Monday

Classes will be held Classes will be cancelled
1st period
(9:25〜10:55)
Class will be CANCELLED whether
the game is held or not.(a continuous class,
1st and 2nd period, 2nd period will also be cancelled.)
2nd period
(11:10〜12:40)
The cancellation of the game is determined by 8:30
→Class will be held.
The cancellation of the game is NOT determined by 8:30
→Class will be cancelled.
3rd period
(13:00〜14:30)
The cancellation of the game is determined by 10:30
→Class will be held.
The cancellation of the game is NOT determined by 10:30
→Class will be cancelled.


* If the cancellation of the game is not determined by 10:30, all classes on Monday will be cancelled.
* In the case of class cancellation due to the Waseda-Keio Baseball Game, not all makeup classes are held.

b. Classes after Tuesday

In either of the following cases, the table given above will be applied.

  1. In the event that there is a possibility that the Keio team will win the championship for Tokyo Big 6 Baseball League.
  2. In the event that there is a possibility that the Keio team will advance a playoff game.
    In a case other than the two patterns, classes may be held as usual regardless of the game schedule.

Classes for the Graduate School of Media and Governance

Classes will be held as usual regardless of the game schedule. However, 「大学院プログラム(併設)科目」 ("Program Courses - Heisetsu") classes will be held under the same class management rules as classes for the Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies.



Classes offered in SFC at the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care

Whether or not to hold classes on the day of the Waseda-Keio Basebal Game(s) in 2024 and thereafter is currently under consideration. Information will be posted as it is decided.



Classes at the Graduate School of Health Management

[Common items]
Practical training courses for the Nursing Major students will be held as normal, regardless of whether a game is held.
Please follow the instructions of the lecturer in charge of the class regarding the handling of courses with classes concentrated within a specified period.
Some classes will be held as normal, so please follow the instructions of the lecturer in charge.

[Courses held at SFC]
Classes will be handled in the same manner as courses off ered by the Faculty of Policy Management and Faculty of Environmentand Information Studies.

[Courses held at Shinanomachi Campus]
1) Classes held on Monday
On game days, first and second period classes are held as normal, and all classes from the third period onwards are canceled to allow students to support the team. Note that if a game is canceled due to bad weather, etc., classes will be held as normal.

2) Classes held on Tuesday or later
If Keio makes it to the championship game of the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League, and the game occurs on a Tuesday or later,classes will be handled in the same manner as those held on Monday and (first and second period classes are held as normal,and all classes from the third period onwards are cancelled to allow students to support the team). If a game occurs on Tuesday or later that is not the championship game, classes will be held as normal, regardless of whether a Waseda-Keio baseball gameis held. If a game is canceled due to bad weather, etc., classes will be held as normal.

[Courses held at other campuses, etc.]
Please follow the instructions of the lecturer in charge of the class regarding the handling of classes.
