To all students
April 20, 2021
In the Spring Semester of the 2021 academic year, as was the case in the 2020 Fall Semester, some classes will continue to be held face-to-face with sufficient measures put in place to prevent infections. Meanwhile, there is concern about a deterioration in the situation regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) infections, with "Priority measures to prevent the spread of infections, etc." in place for Tokyo and the three surrounding prefectures (Chiba, Kanagawa, Saitama). In addition, it is anticipated that the government will soon declare another state of emergency. In light of these circumstances, there is a chance that new measures will be implemented, including revisions to class formats, to allow for any rapid changes in the ongoing situation.
Respective faculties and graduate schools may also implement emergency measures for each campus, and Keio students are thus requested to regularly check keio.jp and the Keio University Student Website.
Please check the following page if you have any symptoms of an infection with COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) or have been in close contact (or suspected close contact) with an infected person, or are otherwise feeling unwell.
There have been cases of infections with COVID-19 (coronavirus disease) stemming from dining in groups following classes.
We kindly request that all students continue to refrain from dining in groups and maintain personal vigilance in taking preventative measures to curb the spread of infections.
