Registration of desire to receive additional support from the Emergency Student Support Handout for Continuing Studies program

Published on January 28, 2021

<Updated on February 15, 2021.>
・The "official application method" was announced to students satisfying the requirements for additional support on February 15. Please check your e-mail for your keio.jp account and Message on the keio.jp portal.

We have been notified by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) that it is deliberating making an additional payment of the Emergency Student Support Handout for Continuing Studies (primarily to students whose circumstances changed from the end of July onward and became eligible to receive the handout). If it is decided to implement the additional payment, it is expected that the application procedures will have to be completed in a short period of time. Keio University will therefore accept registrations from students wishing to receive the handout by advance application in order to confirm whether or not they are eligible to receive the payment.

If you would like to be considered, please register your desire to receive the handout by the deadline using "2. Application form."

In the case that MEXT decides to implement the additional payment hereafter, the university will, within the allocated number of people it is permitted to recommend, contact those students it judges to satisfy the application requirements from among those who registered their desire to receive the handout regarding the official application method.

*The "official application method" for the additional handout differs to the application methods for the first and second recruitment rounds.
*You will not be able to officially apply if you do not register your desire to receive the handout by the deadline.
*Persons who applied during the first and second recruitment rounds are also required to register their desire to receive the handout and make an "official application."
*Registration of your desire to receive the handout is not a guarantee that you will actually receive the additional payment. Furthermore, it is possible that MEXT will not implement the additional payment.

Please check MEXT's homepage for an overview of the handout scheme.
