Precautions for the commencement and entrance ceremonies

March 16, 2022

To all Keio students:

We ask that all students avoid loitering and meeting inside of Hiyoshi Station or near its ticket gates on Wednesday, March 23 or Friday, April 1, for the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony and Entrance Ceremony respectively.

Furthermore, students are asked to refrain from meeting up for drinks or food at parties (including thank-you parties for advising faculty and welcome parties) after the ceremonies or from hanging out in groups in public places such as train stations, streets, parks, etc. for long periods of time.

Likewise, any such actions that include eating or drinking for long periods of time in crowded places, close contact settings, and closed spaces are liable to raise the risk of spreading COVID-19 and affect not only your own health, but also the wellbeing of those close to you. Please remember the effect such actions may have on family members, local communities, medical institutions, and the university itself as you consider how to curtail your activities on those days.
