Research Grants

Yamagishi Student Project Support Program

This support program was established with funds provided by Mr. Kotaro Yamagishi, CEO of Keio Innovation Initiative, Inc., Co-Founder and Director of GREE, Inc. and Keio University Vice-President for Finance, Fundraising, and Entrepreneurial Education and Support of Keio Univ.
It provides grants for research projects of undergraduate students of the Faculty of Policy Management, the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, and the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care. The program aims to support research activities that impact society and embody the SFC spirit of improving the real world.




Incentives to Study and Conduct Research Through SFC Education Promotion Foundation

The Foundation offers grants-in-aid for research plans submitted by individuals or groups of students.



SFC Grant for Fieldwork Research in Asia Supported by Ikai Group

Through the courtesy of IKAI, Inc. group, the grant is given to students who conduct fieldwork research in Asia. The recipients must pass the screening test, take predetermined courses and conduct fieldwork research in Asia.


[Criteria for Conducting Overseas Fieldwork and Internships]
Students who will conduct overseas activities such as fieldwork, internships, etc., are required to undertake a comprehensive assessment of measures for safety in relation to public security in the relevant overseas country/region. Please refer to this page.


It is mandatory for all students participating in courses held overseas (Study Abroad Courses in Language Communication Courses / Special Research Projects / Fieldwork Research, etc.) to enroll in Emergency Assistance Japan Co., Ltd.'s Overseas Students Safety Management Assistance service and a comprehensive overseas travel insurance policy which meets the requirements set by Keio University.

SFC Asia Masuda Research Project Support Program

This support program was established with funds provided by the Masuda Educational Foundation. It provides research grants to Japanese students and international students from countries and regions in Asia who are in the Faculty of Policy Management, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, or Graduate School of Media and Governance. This program aims to develop individuals with an international perspective whose research plan and implementation will contribute to the future development of Asia. The program particularly supports research that will spread Japanese culture, history, thought, and technology etc. into Asia and the Middle East. Students who are interested should apply in accordance with the following.

Framework for the Promotion of Policy Studies by SFC Students (FPPS)

Applications are welcome from groups involved in "problem identification and solution" that intend to offer new policy ideas for a future Japan, and wish to receive financial support for conducting fieldwork.




SFC Grant for Fieldwork Overseas Supported by Keio SFC Academic Society

The grant is given to students who conduct fieldwork research overseas. The recipients must pass the screening, take designated courses and conduct fieldwork research outside Japan.
